Blue anodized case screws? $2.50 for 10 - hardly breaking the bank. if you're going to buy a replacement case fan, why not buy one with colored LEDs for the same price, and personalize your case a bit at the same? =^_^=īland normal case fan: $10 or so (maybe as low as $8)īoth of the above are neat-looking alternatives to bland, stock things that are needed.

Whereas the PC mods are are about getting style with your substance. Well, y'see, ricing is all about style over substance (and NFSU echoes that perfectly, I must admit).

I see so many guys harp on and on about how they hate riced up cars, meanwhile their home PC has a side window with a light-up fan. Given these nits, it's almost painful to admit that I liked the game. Either that or they are attempting to actively discourage imitation by fabricating spectacular accidents. It's almost as if they are looking to reward poor drivers. Along the same lines: FISH-TAILING IS NOT POWER-SLIDING.īut the biggest annoyance is when other vehicles are sitting smack-dab in the middle of the racing line. I really didn't like the linear nature of the game I would have far preferred an option to avoid the ghetto bullshit "events" and stick to lapping and sprints. (I found the Miata to be the best car in the game, BTW, allowing me to beat every event on Hard except for a single drag.) Furthermore, I have a big problem believing that a Miata with upgrades A, B, C, and D out-performs a Supra with the exact same upgrades. Firstly, I thought it was stupid that "trading in" your vehicle involved uninstalling all performance and visual upgrades from your old car and installing them on your new one. I've got to admit, I had a blast playing NFSU, and I will probably spend a lot of time with NFSU2 and may even buy it. The only way to unlock performance upgrades is to win specific races, at which point you've already got more than enough cash to afford them which, as you say, renders money in the game worthless. Just a clarification (it's not immediately evident whether you realize this, please don't be offended if you do): "style points" only unlock the aesthetic upgrades. Whatever happened to "clean" lines and styling of cars?!?! So often the beauty of these cars gets totally lost in all the clutter of glitter, flares and other useless parts.

Pickup a wrench and get under the hood if you want to "tune" your car! All that shit all over your car us just makin it heavier, not faster! The whole aftermarket, bodykit, rice scene just drives me insane. I still bought whatever performance upgrades I wanted with the cash I saved from noy buying the 17ft. Not like the in game money made any difference. I did very little ricing on my cars in NFSU, and took the points penalty. Quoted for mind-bogglingly amazing truth.īut let us just keep this strait: There will under no circumstance be ANY ricing of McLarens and the like in this perfect game, correct? it seems that mixing the tuning from Porsche Unleashed (which was amazing, btw, you could change the downforce on both ends of the car, the shock height, etc) with the amazing graphics from NFSU2 and mix in the supercars in NFSHP2, and also mix in the incredible cop AI from Hot Pursuit, you'd have the perfect game.
